Right after Christmas, InnoGames offers a special bonbon for all fans of the Browser game Grepolis. From the 27^th of December on, they will start three different speed worlds for the strategy game. That means speedy troop movements, short building times and fast researches in the academy between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The worlds will have a speed factor of 50, 100 and 200, compared to the normal Grepolis speed. 

The speed worlds are much smaller than the usual ones. Whilst on normal Grepolis worlds, there are up to 30,000 active players, the speed worlds are restricted to 500, 1.000 and 2.000 players on a first comes – first served base. They will be closed after about 24 to 72 hours, depending on their speed factor. In order to take part, the players have to activate 240 gold coins within the game. At the end of the worlds, the best players will get an attractive reward by InnoGames.

Grepolis is a strategy game set in the Ancient Greece. In the browser based online game, it is the players’ task to build up from a small Polis (Greek for town) to a huge metropolis. They have to unite with other players in victorious alliances, establish a powerful army and navy and finally conquer islands far away. On their trip to glory and honor, they should also take care of the gods of Greek mythology: Zeus, Hera, Athena and Poseidon will decide their fate.

Grepolis has reached about six million registered users from about 150 different countries. The game is today available in 18 different languages.
