Fantasy MMORPG Canaan Online Launches New Free Expansion

Gala Networks Europe, one of the leading free-to-play games publisher that operates the http://www.gPotato.eu portal, is delighted to announce the launch of a new expansion for Canaan Online, its free browser-based MMORPG set in a manga universe. The expansion is entitled Hero’s Rebirth, and allows players to reach new heights of power once they reach level 100, and will be released tomorrow in English, French and German at http://canaan.gPotato.eu.

Hero’s Rebirth gives adventurers the opportunity to go beyond level 100, showing that reaching that magic number is not the end of their epic journey. After tackling certain dungeons and gaining the items required, players can undergo Rebirth to be completely re-born at level 10, but with bonuses that will let them become far more powerful than if starting from scratch. Better yet, players who reach level 100 can continue to accumulate experience before being reborn, and it will be carried over into the reset character.

Characters that have gone through Rebirth will also find new challenges throughout Canaan’s world in the form of Hero Instances. These dungeons will contain many powerful monsters and will drop tokens that can be exchanged for great rewards. Of course, what would an adventurer be without his or her equipment and pet? In Hero’s Rebirth, both pets and equipment can also undergo Rebirth, being recreated at a lower level but much more powerful than they were before, giving re-born characters the perfect tools to tackle the Hero Instances.

The Canaan Online team is celebrating the launch of this new expansion with many special in-game GM events, where random lucky players will receive exciting new items including Hero’s Rebirth items and new costumes and pets, alongside fun contests and giveaways with great prizes. Critically Acclaimed MMORPG Allods Online Release Special Announcement

We are happy to inform you, the Allods Online community, first that Volume 4 will be the official release of Allods Online in Europe.

Volume 4 is now deployed on our test server at gPotato.eu and we are able to test the new mechanics that will be going live in Europe in a few weeks. The internal code name for Volume 4 is 2.0.2.xx in case you are looking for a Russian equivalence.

Of course, you can expect plenty of guides on new mechanics, as we have done for all our previous Volumes with our now famous “A closer look at…” series.

The translations for Volume 4 started several weeks ago! They are still in progress, and the amount is big, meaning that this expansion will once more bring tons of new content for your delight. Here are some highlights:

• Level cap is raised to level 47, with new skills and new layers added to the talent tree
• New PvE areas
• New layers of the Astral that you will have to unlock via quests
• The much requested mini map
• A new innovative system to upgrade your items by merging them
• Re-balanced raid and heroic instances
• Change of incense mechanics following your feedback, stay tuned!
• And much, much more

Besides all of that, we are actively working with Astrum Nival to speed up the release of future updates and patches in Europe, thus reducing the gap between Russian and European versions of Allods Online.

Last week, as some of you noticed, the Phylacteries of Passage were free in the boutique for a short time. We then had to remove them as there was a gold exploit linked to this – /slap us. We are happy to let you know that this exploit has been addressed and that you can now get as many Phylacteries of Passage as you wish for free in the Boutique for the foreseeable future. Happy PvP!

Lucent Heart Celebrates Its First Wedding

Gamania Digital Entertainment announced today that Lucent Heart has married its first couple in-game. Having recently completed its second sneak peek beta, Lucent Heart has seen tremendous activity as players raced to try out the virtual matchmaking system. Even with limited playtime available, hundreds of couples were matched, relationships were formed, and for the first time, a couple was married.

In Lucent Heart, couples are brought together by the matchmaker, Cupid. Once they are matched they get to build their relationship through questing, quizzes, and adventuring with each other throughout the game. Marriage takes a strong commitment, as a couple must invest enough time together to reach the required “Cupid Level”, along with raising enough money to fund the wedding.

Gamania would like to congratulate its first married couple, Chikane and Tsuki. Through their own dedication, along with support from their guild and friends, Chikane and Tsuki are the first couple to fully realize the matchmaking potential of Lucent Heart.

“What really left a great impression was the help and support of our Guild, Myriad,” said Chikane. “Once the other members heard we were trying to get married, they all chipped in and helped out. Some members even asked random people on the server to contribute, and they helped without even knowing us. Everything came together because the whole server was in on it!”

“The wedding was really beautiful,” said Tsuki. “It made me nervous even though it’s only a game. I really loved my wedding dress…and I absolutely loved the carriage ride!”
