Burda:ic, a leading publisher of online games worldwide, today announced that the Closed Beta Test of ARGO Online has officially begun and will run through March 22, giving players two full weeks to take first crack at exploring the highly-anticipated Steampunk Fantasy MMORPG.

The latest threat to vex Zu’s brave adventurers is a horde of Golden Ox Demons that have overrun Thunder Peak.

The decade-long war between the Immortals and the Demons still casts a shadow over Zu’s inhabitants and heroes alike. Hidden devils walk among its people in human form, spreading cruelty and craving blood wherever they go. An invasion of Golden Ox Demons only makes an already dangerous situation even more deadly.

The Telepath Envoy has learned that the evil Golden Ox Demons recently barged into Thunder Peak and stole the Silver Stones. Though the Envoy’s power is great, it is no match for so many of these creatures. He has sent out a call for help, seeking higher-level champions to cull the Golden Ox Demons in Thunder Peak and recover the Silver Stones.

Beginning March 1st, the event will be available to all eligible characters each day from noon to 2:00 PM and from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM EST (GMT-5). Recover the precious Silver Stones to earn incredible silver stone gifts, as well as the Telepath Envoy’s eternal gratitude.

Lucent Heart Celebrates Its First Wedding

Gamania Digital Entertainment announced today that Lucent Heart has married its first couple in-game. Having recently completed its second sneak peek beta, Lucent Heart has seen tremendous activity as players raced to try out the virtual matchmaking system. Even with limited playtime available, hundreds of couples were matched, relationships were formed, and for the first time, a couple was married.

In Lucent Heart, couples are brought together by the matchmaker, Cupid. Once they are matched they get to build their relationship through questing, quizzes, and adventuring with each other throughout the game. Marriage takes a strong commitment, as a couple must invest enough time together to reach the required “Cupid Level”, along with raising enough money to fund the wedding.

Gamania would like to congratulate its first married couple, Chikane and Tsuki. Through their own dedication, along with support from their guild and friends, Chikane and Tsuki are the first couple to fully realize the matchmaking potential of Lucent Heart.

“What really left a great impression was the help and support of our Guild, Myriad,” said Chikane. “Once the other members heard we were trying to get married, they all chipped in and helped out. Some members even asked random people on the server to contribute, and they helped without even knowing us. Everything came together because the whole server was in on it!”

“The wedding was really beautiful,” said Tsuki. “It made me nervous even though it’s only a game. I really loved my wedding dress…and I absolutely loved the carriage ride!”

Dragonica Expansion “Awakening of the Ice Dragon” goes live tomorrow!

Gala Networks Europe, the leading free-to-play games publisher that operates the Gpotato portal, is delighted to announce the launch of Awakening of the Ice Dragon for Dragonica, the free action MMO, for all servers. The expansion will go live on Tuesday, February 15th and will include a level cap raise to 75, an entire new continent and a wide range of new features based around in-game markets and auctions.

The biggest addition in Awakening of the Ice Dragon is the brand new ice continent of Pagosia. As the name suggests, large portions of Pagosia are entombed in ice, with its frosty appearance enhanced by the spooky spectral creatures that live in its fresh landscape. Seasoned heroes, from level 62 upwards, will find a large quantity of new maps in Pagosia, filled with new sets of both hero and daily quests, providing more than enough challenges for players racing to the new maximum character level of 75.

Awakening of the Ice Dragon will also see features for Dragonica players who are not quite as eager to race to the level cap as soon as possible. Three new dungeons named Citadel of Torment, Wolves Den and Underground Graveyard will be available for any players between the levels of 15 and 40. Furthermore, the new F7 strategic defence mode in mission maps, which challenges players to defend their stone by creating defensive structures and attacking monsters, is available to players above level 48. With this suite of new content and new ways to play and progress, Awakening of the Ice Dragon really does have something for everyone…

Awakening of the Ice Dragon will also see the addition of some functional features, such as the ability for players to purchase and open their own personal market stall. This enables anyone to set up a shop to sell their merchandise on any map, or in profitable, high-traffic locations such as the entrances to mission maps. Getting around Dragonica’s expanding world is also set to get cheaper, with warp tower prices being reduced between 3% and 50% throughout the game. Members of guilds will also be able to visit a new vendor selling exclusive consumable items for Emporia Battles and finally, a brand new guild vault will also be available for use with the new Emporia Bidding system, which now uses gold rather than the precious Guild EXP as its currency.

A baby girl named Louisa, who had a powerful and ancient magic within her, was born to the royal family of Argyll. As she grew into a beautiful woman, her unmatched looks and charm ensured that she earned the affection of countless suitors, but only one captured her attention a man by the name of Killin and the princess gave him her heart in return. Unfortunately, it was around the same time that an ice sprite named Liot learned about the princess’ secret ancient magic and lured her into a trap. Joymax Kicks off the New Year with Four Global Events for Silkroad Online
