Maid Marian Entertainment Inc., creator of the browser-based cult hit MMORPG, Sherwood Dungeon, announced today that its 2.2 update is live. Continuing to reward its loyal fans with fresh content, players are presented with an entirely new location to explore, two more premium pets to purchase, and numerous community requested features, such as an expanded friends list.

The Fortress of Fury is the latest location where players can teleport; an island encircled by huge battlements and offering additional quests. These quests will have players battling new mobs with enemy variants of the Lycan and Huntress, and will reward players with new weapons upon completion.

The Lycan and Huntress are premium pets that can be purchased by players.

The Lycan is a brutal man-beast with barbarian type armor that can be found prowling the battlements of The Fortress of Fury. The Huntress is part of a deadly clan of female warriors pillaging Sherwood’s inhabitants. Those who purchase these premium pets have the option of fighting side by side with them in battle or transforming their character into the pets form.

Dragonica Expansion “Awakening of the Ice Dragon” goes live tomorrow!

Gala Networks Europe, the leading free-to-play games publisher that operates the Gpotato portal, is delighted to announce the launch of Awakening of the Ice Dragon for Dragonica, the free action MMO, for all servers. The expansion will go live on Tuesday, February 15th and will include a level cap raise to 75, an entire new continent and a wide range of new features based around in-game markets and auctions.

The biggest addition in Awakening of the Ice Dragon is the brand new ice continent of Pagosia. As the name suggests, large portions of Pagosia are entombed in ice, with its frosty appearance enhanced by the spooky spectral creatures that live in its fresh landscape. Seasoned heroes, from level 62 upwards, will find a large quantity of new maps in Pagosia, filled with new sets of both hero and daily quests, providing more than enough challenges for players racing to the new maximum character level of 75.

Awakening of the Ice Dragon will also see features for Dragonica players who are not quite as eager to race to the level cap as soon as possible. Three new dungeons named Citadel of Torment, Wolves Den and Underground Graveyard will be available for any players between the levels of 15 and 40. Furthermore, the new F7 strategic defence mode in mission maps, which challenges players to defend their stone by creating defensive structures and attacking monsters, is available to players above level 48. With this suite of new content and new ways to play and progress, Awakening of the Ice Dragon really does have something for everyone…

Awakening of the Ice Dragon will also see the addition of some functional features, such as the ability for players to purchase and open their own personal market stall. This enables anyone to set up a shop to sell their merchandise on any map, or in profitable, high-traffic locations such as the entrances to mission maps. Getting around Dragonica’s expanding world is also set to get cheaper, with warp tower prices being reduced between 3% and 50% throughout the game. Members of guilds will also be able to visit a new vendor selling exclusive consumable items for Emporia Battles and finally, a brand new guild vault will also be available for use with the new Emporia Bidding system, which now uses gold rather than the precious Guild EXP as its currency.

Grepolis 2.0 Unveiled

About one year after its release, the strategy game Grepolis is close to start a new era. With the update to version 2.0, a lot of new features are implemented into the Browser game. Within the next weeks, the existing worlds are supposed to be updated as well.

“With version 2.0, we have improved Grepolis in all of its aspects”, says InnoGames founder Hendrik Klindworth. “The graphics for the isle world and the city have become much more realistic. In the game play, we have simplified the start by easing the farming system for the players. You can get more resources with less effort now and therefore proceed faster. Simultaneously, we have introduced the Seven Wonders of the World as the decisive strategic element for the late game phases”, he reveals.

In Grepolis 2.0, those wonders (Pyramids, Hanging Garden, Temple, Statue of Zeus, Mausoleum, Colossus, Lighthouse) define the conditions how to win a world. They can only be built by alliances, not by individual players. When an alliance has finished a certain number of wonders, it wins the world – and by this opens the gate to a whole new game level: the so called hero worlds.

Mr. Klindworth: “Our aim is that an alliance might win the world after one and a half to two years. But of course, we do not want to lose those passionate players afterwards. That is why we offer very special awards to all players who have survived a world for such a long time: the ascension to the hero worlds.” Those worlds will have exclusive content like special units and also the game balance will be different compared to the regular Grepolis worlds. Dragonica: Features Of Awakening of The Ice Dragon Released

The new continent of Pagosia will be open for exploration as soon as Awakening of the Ice Dragon launches. The new land offers players a host of new maps, new monsters and new challenges for high level players between levels 62 and 75. Some of these monsters may seem familiar to the seasoned adventurers, as they are the spectral versions of monsters that players may have encountered on their journey through the world of Dragonica.

The long-awaited Strategic Defence Mode (F7) will also be available, in which players must defend their core from invading monsters that follow paths around a specific route. Players may attack monsters directly, or progress more strategically by creating defensive structures to repel the onslaught. Furthermore, a whole new chain of hero quests and daily quests will be available to aid players in Dragonica’s new ultimate challenge – reaching level 75.
