Zu Online: Cull the Golden Ox Demons

He has sent out a call for help, seeking higher-level champions to cull the Golden Ox Demons in Thunder Peak and recover the Silver Stones.

Beginning March 1st, the event will be available to all eligible characters each day from noon to 2:00 PM and from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM EST (GMT-5). Recover the precious Silver Stones to earn incredible silver stone gifts, as well as the Telepath Envoy’s eternal gratitude.

New High-Quality MMORPG TERA Online Class Releases

The Monsters of TERA: Beyond the Ordinary

We can’t even tell you, how often you fought against goblins, ogres and dragons in the past years. With TERA we want to go a different way in many parts of the gameplay, this also includes the creatures you’ll encounter on your journey.

You’ll see monsters you have never seen before, like the immense, greedy Kumises and the twisted, sinister Lokians and we don’t even want to talk about the metallic monstrosities known as the Argons, the main enemy of all races in TERA.

The High Elves

If you decide to play as a high elf in TERA, you also become a part of the worlds most ambitious and ruthless society, but they are also known for their intelligence. The life as a high elf in TERA is not an easy one, with a world where diversity is vital for a race to survive, the Elven pride is as tenacious as the elves themselves.

The High Elves in TERA fill in every role in their typical arrogant but superior way, despite what class they choose. A high elf will always be a tough enemy and hard to read, because they always keep tight when it comes to expressing their emotions. This can be an advantage, but also a problem, as the High Elves need to cooperate and gain the trust of the other races.

High Elves are known for their longevity and their wisdom. They may have joined the Valkyon Federation as the last race, but you shouldn’t doubt that there may be the chance of them being the leaders in the near future.

Classes: Berserker and Priest

Berserker

As a Berserker you trust in solving problems with your huge battle-axe. If you really can’t solve the problem with your axe, the “problem” will most likely end up fleeing in fear anyway. At least that’s how Berserker sees the world in their own eyes. A class full of devastating power, which can be unleashed to its full potential on every battlefield out there.

Berserkers are feared for their rage, but still as a player you need to think tactically, move around the battlefield, evade enemy attacks and unleash the Cyclone attack in the right spot at the right time, to annihilate anyone who comes close to you.

Priest

Movement is always important in TERA, as a Priest it will be one of the keys to succeeding on a battlefield or in supporting your group members. As a Priest you’re not just the basic healbot, standing there and spamming heal after heal. You’ll need to deal damage, lock down enemies and keep moving while trying to keep your group members alive, both with single and manually targeted heal spells and also with casting a Circle of Rejuvenation.

The Priest is the key player to success in both PvE and PvP, friends and foes will also try to protect our get to you. Healing in TERA takes skill, but you’ll earn trust and victory if you do your job right.

Frogster Donates 82,000 Euro to Children in Bhutan

With a result far exceeding the company’s expectations, Frogster concluded its Christmas charity project to benefit children and adolescents in Bhutan in January. Yesterday, the publisher of online role-playing games was able to hand Save the Children Germany e.V. a cheque in the amount of 82,000 Euro thanks to the overwhelming support of the gaming community. Compared to a similar promotion last year, Frogster was able to more than double its previous charitable contribution. In addition to setting up so-called ‘Remote Classrooms’ in the isolated mountain regions of Bhutan as originally planned, the world’s largest independent children’s rights organization can now implement further aid projects in the country.

The ‘Remote Classrooms’ project is not just about building schools. Save the Children will ensure that children and adolescents receive good education and healthcare. At the same time, families will be educated about the problems adolescents are facing. Additionally, Save the Children will train 40 pupil advisors to be involved in three-day workshops for adolescents held by the children’s rights organization at higher education institutions throughout the country. Thanks to Frogster’s donation, two editions of a youth guidebook will also be published. The guidebook will provide the youths with information about career prospects and other topics. Furthermore, Save the Children will establish two youth centres as well as employ and train two caretakers for adolescents.

Due to its position in the middle of the Himalayas, Bhutan was largely isolated from the rest of the world until recently. Kathrin Wieland, German Executive Director of Save the Children, visited the country two years ago and knows the problems there: “In Bhutan, there are suddenly children surfing the Internet and zapping through 400 television channels. Their parents, on the other hand, are people who haven’t learnt to read or write. They have never in their lives been bombarded with advertising. In other words, what we have here is a clash of two ages of civilisation.” With their on-site projects, Save the Children will assist children and their families in this transformation process, reducing the by-products which negatively affect the living conditions of adolescents, such as pollution, drug abuse, and crime.

Frogster started the charity project in mid-December 2010. Until the end of the promotion in January, players of Runes of Magic and Bounty Bay Online could purchase exclusive virtual mounts and a ship cover from the shops in the online role-playing games. All proceeds after VAT and fixed third-party costs are now funding the projects of Save the Children in Bhutan. Runewaker, the Taiwanese developer of Runes of Magic waived its share of the sales for the mounts to support the charity effort on their part.

On handing over the cheque, Seth Iorio, Member of the Executive Board of Frogster Interactive Pictures AG, commented on the outcome:“We have been impressed and inspired by the work of Save the Children in the mountain regions of Bhutan from the beginning. We are very happy that, through the support of our players, we can significantly extend the scope of our cooperative projects.”

Kathrin Wieland, Executive Director of Save the Children Germany e.V., was surprised and delighted at the great generosity of the computer game players: “I am very happy about the engagement of Frogster and its players, which allows us to clear a path for these children to a positive future.”

Alliance of Valiant Arms Breaks Out the Big Guns with Valentine Event & Heads to Southern France

All is fair in love and war as Alliance of Valiant Arms (A.V.A), ijji.com’s Unreal Engine 3-powered multiplayer online first-person shooter (MOFPS), celebrates the special occasion with the Valentine Event. From now until March 8, players can compete to earn new in-game items, including special Valentine themed prizes. Additionally, A.V.A’s latest update introduces Breakout, the newest free-for-all map set in a small town outside of Nimes, Southern France. With a supply of the latest weapons, players can now take the opposition down in one of the most romantic locales in the world.

During the Valentine Event, players can earn the HeartBreaker grenade by playing A.V.A for at least 60 minutes per day. Also, after every four days of playing A.V.A, players will receive the Pink Love Bat, a melee weapon that’s as deadly as it is lovely.

In addition to the Valentines Event and the new France-based Breakout map, A.V.A upgraded its stock of deadly weapons, which now includes:

• FG42: Developed during World War II for the German Airborne Units, this weapon was designed to be used as a squad automatic weapon and a rifle at the same time. It uses a 57 cartridge, making it extremely powerful.
• AN-94 Sidewinder: This variant of the AN-94 assault rifle comes with a thicker barrel.
• MK23 SOCOM: Designed as a high-power pistol, this sidearm was manufactured by H&K of Germany to satisfy special operations specifications. Although powerful, it is bulky and heavy.

In A.V.A, modern warfare hits combat zones around the globe where a formidable battle has broken out between the EU and the NRF.  Players are tasked with picking a side and squaring off in an unprecedented battle amongst skyscrapers and deserted city blocks.  With the signature quick-fragging action of the Unreal Engine 3, combat escalates quickly and tensions run high as players anticipate a bloody clash around every corner.  Europe has yet to see more ominous missions or relentless enemies as seen on the streets of Alliance of Valiant Arms.
