Information is power, and with new chat tools coming to 2029 Online in the latest version of the game, players have new ways to stay connected with friends and acquaintances alike. All it takes is a click to see details for linked items, teleport to another player, and much more.

In 2029 Online, players have long been able to communicate through the World Channel, which is visible to everyone, or use specialized chat channels like Local, Whisper, and Trade. While it’s easy enough to stay in touch even when you’re on different maps, the 2029 Online team wanted to give players access to more tools that would make staying connected – and making connections – easier than ever.

The new tools allow players to link items or equipment in the available chat channels, trade or team up with others, or join a guild. You can even see other players’ information, including the target’s class, guild, location, and online status. You’ll also be notified when friends log into/out of the game.

To access a variety of features, simply click a player’s name and choose from several available options, including whisper, teleport to the target, add as a friend, join the target’s guild, and other shortcuts. With a click of your mouse, the power of information is there at your fingertips.

Grepolis 2.0 Unveiled

About one year after its release, the strategy game Grepolis is close to start a new era. With the update to version 2.0, a lot of new features are implemented into the Browser game. Within the next weeks, the existing worlds are supposed to be updated as well.

“With version 2.0, we have improved Grepolis in all of its aspects”, says InnoGames founder Hendrik Klindworth. “The graphics for the isle world and the city have become much more realistic. In the game play, we have simplified the start by easing the farming system for the players. You can get more resources with less effort now and therefore proceed faster. Simultaneously, we have introduced the Seven Wonders of the World as the decisive strategic element for the late game phases”, he reveals.

In Grepolis 2.0, those wonders (Pyramids, Hanging Garden, Temple, Statue of Zeus, Mausoleum, Colossus, Lighthouse) define the conditions how to win a world. They can only be built by alliances, not by individual players. When an alliance has finished a certain number of wonders, it wins the world – and by this opens the gate to a whole new game level: the so called hero worlds.

Mr. Klindworth: “Our aim is that an alliance might win the world after one and a half to two years. But of course, we do not want to lose those passionate players afterwards. That is why we offer very special awards to all players who have survived a world for such a long time: the ascension to the hero worlds.” Those worlds will have exclusive content like special units and also the game balance will be different compared to the regular Grepolis worlds. Or to say it in another way: The hero worlds will be a very special challenge for all of those who have proven to be masters of strategy.

Dragonica: Features Of Awakening of The Ice Dragon Released

Gala Networks Europe, a leading free-to-play games publisher that operates the Gpotato portal, is delighted to announce more features for Awakening of the Ice Dragon, the upcoming expansion for its free action MMO Dragonica. Awakening of the Ice Dragon is set to raise the game’s level cap to 75, open up an entire new continent filled with game-play content and introduce a wide range of new features based around in-game markets and auctions. The new continent of Pagosia will be open for exploration as soon as Awakening of the Ice Dragon launches. Some of these monsters may seem familiar to the seasoned adventurers, as they are the spectral versions of monsters that players may have encountered on their journey through the world of Dragonica.

The long-awaited Strategic Defence Mode (F7) will also be available, in which players must defend their core from invading monsters that follow paths around a specific route. Players may attack monsters directly, or progress more strategically by creating defensive structures to repel the onslaught. Furthermore, a whole new chain of hero quests and daily quests will be available to aid players in Dragonica’s new ultimate challenge – reaching level 75.

For anyone thinking of joining Dragonica, there are some exciting developments in the lower level ranges to look forward to when Awakening of the Ice Dragon goes live:  three new dungeons will be available, designed specifically for lower level player characters, and a series of feature and quest updates in the early stages of Dragonica will make it easier for new players to enter the fray.

Zu Online is proud to announce the release of “The Blood Demon’s Assault,” a new patch that achieves several goals they have been working toward since September of 2009. Launched on January 17, version 1.12.08 will help players better experience the fierce wars between the immortals and the Demons. The Blood Demon’s Assault is a major event that gives players the chance to combat evil on a grand scale.

 As the game’s ultimate BOSS, the Blood Demon is no pushover. Players from three factions must temporarily set aside their mutual hatred and cooperate to defend their home. All Zu Online players can accept the quest without worrying about level limitations. Overcoming this challenge can earn the victors tons of experience points and mall Gold. The quest will be available at 8:30 PM each day.

Before the event starts, an NPC called Koden will appear at the three entrances for the three factions: the Hexad Region, the Purple Fire Hall of Desert City, and the Truth Palace of Holy City. Players can claim a quest item known as the Demonbane Gourd from Koden up to 10 minutes before the event or until 10 minutes after it has begun. Players must use it to collect the Blood Demon’s Soul, which is required to claim the quest rewards.

After the quest begins, 3 Ghostdom Portals will appear in the Hexad Region. From these portals will emerge 3 Blood Demon’s Vanguards, who will move to attack the Boundary Defender by the route marked in purple below. Players must protect the Boundary Defender and defeat the Blood Demon’s Vanguards if they hope to avert disaster.

Only 1 of the 3 Blood Demon’s Vanguards contains the Blood Demon’s Soul. Unless they defeat the true body and collect the Blood Demon’s Soul with the Demonbane Gourd, all will be lost. Awakening of the Ice Dragon will also bring extended usability features to Dragonica such as a guild and party search board, as well as a market stall feature where players can set up a market to sell their items on any map in the game. WEBZEN Inc. announces the Archlord’s major update schedule for December 16, 2010 including a brand new American server. On December 16, 2010 DragonScion will be officially released with additional new contents. This official release of DragonScion went through the successful beta-trial season from early December.

Based on the game scenario, DragonScion race are described as the children of the great dragon Mightthesis, and has animosity feeling towards the Orcs because of their betrayal.
At first, players are able to create only the starter classes called “Scion”, but when they have reached level 20, players will get a chance to make a choice to advance into different types of classes; Slayer (Warrior), Orbiter (Shooter) or Summoner (Magician).

The updates includes additional 500 exciting new quests, 400 fierce new monsters and 350 new weapons and armors. This upcoming update will be the largest expansion in 2010 for Archlord.
